New English Courses for Term 3-2009
Dates: August 3rd - October 10th
Term 3 at the English Language Training Institute officially starts on August 3rd. Anyone who would like to improve their English and business skills, please enroll by this date.

To reserve your place on a course please visit the ELT office at the address #5-13, St. 136, Phsar Thmei III, Daun Penh, Phnom Penh, CAMBODIA. No appointment is necessary.
Before enrollment onto a course, new students will be asked to complete a 45-minute placement test which can be done on a computer or on paper, subject to the student’s preferences. There will also be a 5-10 minute oral exam. These tests can be taken anytime from 7:30 AM until 10:30 AM or from 1:30 PM to 5:30PM, Monday to Saturday. The results of these tests will ensure that you, or your child, is placed in the most appropriate group. The test is free but should you decide to apply for a course, there is a $2 application fee.
ELT Scholarship Award and Commencement Ceremony

The ELT Scholarship Award and Commencement Ceremony took place from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM at the National Institute of Education and the ELT director, Mrs Chea Neang Eng presented the awards. Scholarship awards were given to students from ELT Institute who had demonstrated outstanding ability and dedication in learning. Students who received first prizes are awarded two free terms at ELT, those who gained second prizes are granted 1 free term and third placed students have 50 percent off the tuition fees for one term. Basic Computer Course
Students, who are new to IT, can take a short, beginner level course with the ELT Institute. Instructors teach all the functions and uses of Microsoft Office (including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access), especially in relation to business and commerce. At the end of the course, students also have a greater understanding on the graphics editing program ‘Adobe Photoshop’, the current market leader for commercial bitmap and image manipulation software. This computer course can be taken full time or part time.

Disruptive Classroom Conduct
Engaging in behavior that substantially or repeatedly interrupts
either the instructor's ability to teach or student learning.
Falsification
Providing the school offices or official with false, misleading,
and incomplete information. In addition, intentionally making a false report of a bomb,
fire, natural disaster, or other emergency to a School official or an emergency service agency.
Refusal to Identify and Comply
Refusing to or falsely identifying one's self or willfully failing to comply
with a proper order or summons when requested by an authorized School official.
Threatening and Harassing
Engaging in conduct on campus that endangers or
threatens to endanger the health, safety of another person.
Possession or Use of Weapons on Campus
Possessing or using on campus weapons or articles or substances usable as weapons,
including, but not limited to, firearms, incendiary devices, explosives, and dangerous
biological or chemical agents.
Unauthorized Possession or Use of Drugs or Alcohol on Campus
Possessing or using drugs or alcohol without authorization.
Unauthorized Use of School Facilities and Service
False-fully using School properties or facilities; misusing, altering,
or damaging fire-fighting equipment, safety devices, or other emergency equipment or
interfering with the performance.
Theft, Property Damage, and Vandalism
Include theft or embezzlement of, damage to, destruction of,
un- authorized possession of, or wrongful sale or gift of property belonging to the School,
a member of the School community, or a campus guest. In addition,
the school is not responsible for any personal possessions.
Unauthorized Access
Unauthorized access means accessing without authorization School property,
facilities, or services, or obtaining or providing to another person the means of such unauthorized access,
including, but not limited to, using or providing without authorization keys, access cards, or access codes.
Disruptive Behavior
Disrupting School events; participating in a campus demonstration that disrupts the normal operations of the School and infringes on the rights of other individuals; leading or inciting others to disrupt scheduled or normal activities of the School; using sound amplification equipment on campus without authorization; or making or causing noise, regardless of the means, that disturbs authorized School activities or functions.
