About  Us

Introduction

Formerly known among learners and teachers as American Academy of Language Arts, ELT Institute formed her reputation and spread her prestige in Phnom Penh in 1997 three years after her birth. By this tireless effort, ELT now proves herself a leading educational and professional institution. For all academic purposes, ELT stands for English Language Teaching, but this ELT is meant for training. It can also be interpreted as Enriching Life for Tomorrow as its Motto. We also attempt to translate ELT as Excellent Learning Torch which means a center for students to enlighten themselves as well as to enhance their knowledge and moral conduct.

For the past thirteen years, ELT has been providing courses as  following:

   1. General English (GEP)

   2. Academic English Programs (AEP),

   3. Business English Programs (BEP)

   4. English for Professional Purposes (EPP)

   5. TOEFL Preparation

In 2005, the Diploma in English Examination (DEE) and Advanced Diploma in English (ADE)  program were created for students who have completed the advanced level of GEP or AEP to extend their learning. Due to tremendous success of this program, we have introduced highly selected extension courses for the DEE & ADE serious learners as following:

  1. Diploma in Spoken English (DSE)

  2. Diploma in Written English (DWE)

  3. Advanced Diploma in English (ADE)

  4. Advanced Diploma in Business Communication (ADBC)

  5. Advanced Grammar Course

  6. TOEFL iBT Preparation and Test

  7. TOEIC Preparation

  8. Diploma in International TESOL

A recently significant achievement of the school is that ELT Institute has been authorized as member of international community such as:

  1. Official partner of Aspect Education.

  2. ETS TOEFL iBT Test Center.

Classes are available in three sessions of the day_morning, afternoon, and evening starting from 6:30 am to 7:30 pm, from Mondays to Fridays. A term lasts for ten weeks. Weekend classes will also be introduced in the near future paving way for working professionals, senior managers and officers of non-governmental and governmental organizations to develop their language ability.

Among elite schools of English language, ELT is rated a leader of quality and excellence whose reputation and prestige are even greater than what they all say and hear about in Phnom Penh in the present day.
