Diploma in Speaking and Listening (DSL)

Course Objectives:

The Diploma in Speaking and Listening (DSL) is a course designed to provide students with effective English communication skills. Course activities will help the students to enrich their vocabulary and reinforce grammatical structures, as well as enhancing their creative speaking skills. Interacting with classmates will provide the students with an opportunity to become skilled listeners.

Course  Description:

Integrating speaking and listening skills is the core of our Diploma in Speaking and Listening course. We believe that when skills such as speaking and listening are taught separately, language is presented in a way that is not representative of true communicative language. This course will cover all areas of effective communication focusing on activities (discussion, guided practice, interviewing, role plays, case studies, debates and presentations) that will assist students to retain ideas and language, and improve creative speaking and listening skills.

Admission Requirements:

Diploma in Speaking and Listening (DSL):

Applicants must have completed level 15 of our General English program or an equivalent from a recognized institution.

Advanced Speaking and Listening (ADSL):

Applicants must have completed a DSL course or hold a Diploma in English or Business from a recognized institution. Applicants studying for an associate degree or above in English or Business will be considered.
